Office Word of the Day: Anticipate

Tuesday April 21, 2009

Having the ability to anticipate any obstacle in front of you is key to being able to be very successful in whatever profession or activity that you use. You have to expect the unexpected. Today's office word of the day is ANTICIPATE. It is defined by Webster's Dictionary as the ability to: to foresee and deal with in advance. In the event planning and management profession, we have to anticipate any problems or requests you may have for us. It is our job to be the expert and proceed to make your conference or event a stress free process where the work falls on our shoulders not yours. UC Davis Campus Events and Visitor Services has to anticipate your needs because for you we want to hit a home run every time you throw something at us.
