It's no longer a myth, it's no longer something you might want to do as an event planner; you can still plan an event that's green and is still outstanding and stylish. We now live in a time where planning an event should always include green logistics, it's just common knowledge now. However, in order to be a better green planner, you have to stay up to date on new techniques and procedures.

This September, there will be a webinar sponsored by Meetingsfocus.com and a few other folks titled Green Meetings: Beyond the Basics. This webinar is a chance for those who wish to enhance their green practicing skills and to develop a new basis for their efforts to have a green event. The only fact about bamboo that a majority of people know is Panda Bears eat them, but little do a lot of folks know the economical and environmental advantages bamboo gives us. There has been a great increase in eco-friendly organizations in the use of bamboo for products due to the plants durability, and versatile use for products across the board. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth and provides a great advantage considering while using it, you can be growing it at a tremendous return rate; still protecting the ecosystem in which the plant resides in. Bamboo is great for decorations, clothing, book covers, cards, etc. Next time your looking for a durable and versatile resource in your green planning, don't over look bamboo! Once you start using it, it will definitely grow on you!
